Rifle Stocks

The stock itself has fixed sights which are adjustable for windage and elevation. The windage is done with the rear sight and the elevation is done with the front sight. The stock also comes equipped with a scope mount which attaches in the Rifle Stocks .

Construction is of fiberglass reinforced plastic and fits stander barrels and heavyweight barrels (with minor modifications).

Twenty-inch barrels are a bit long, and don�t offer the performance increase over a 16″ ar15 barrel to justify their length and additional weight. Anything above 20″ detracts from the rifle�s “all purpose” use, and is for more specialized AR15 Sight.

AR-15 Gun Supplies

Ok, lets cover the necessary tools. What you need:

Since this procedure requires removal of the barrel/barrel nut, you will need many of the same tools as listed in the Step by step guide to building a complete upper, above.

See the above post… but to sum it up, you will need a good action block, armorers AR-15, 1/16″ punch, snap ring pliers, moly-grease, and a vise.

You will also need a couple punches. You just need a good sized (1/4″) soft brass punch and a steel 1/8″ punch.

(allen wrench and blue loctite supplied with tube!)

That�s it for tools! Now here are the step-by-step instructions:

1. Remove the upper from the rifle. Remove the handguards. Remove the muzzle device. Remove the front sight base. Unscrew the factory barrel nut and remove the nut, and delta ring assembly (we wont be needing these)

To mount a LaRue tube, the “keeper” (anti-roll device) plate will interfere with the action block I was using. It required I take a dremel and cut out a notch to accomodate this. I am not sure if it was required…. I cannot tell if this can be slipped in after the fact…. YMMV.

Infrared

The infrared portion of the spectrum has a number of technological uses, including target acquisition and tracking by the military; remote temperature sensing; short-ranged wireless communication; spectroscopy, and weather forecasting. Telescopes equipped with infrared sensors are used in Infrared to penetrate dusty regions of space, such as molecular clouds; detect low temperature objects such as planets orbiting distant stars, and to view highly red-shifted objects from the early history of the universe.[2]

At the atomic level, infrared energy elicits vibrational modes in a Infrared through a change in the dipole moment, making it a useful frequency range for study of these energy states. Infrared spectroscopy is the examination of absorption and transmission of photons in the infrared energy range, based on their frequency and intensity.[3]

10/22 stock

Hyper-velocity bullets 10/22 stock have a muzzle velocity of 425 to 550 m/s (1400-1804 ft/s)and this velocity is partially due to the light bullets they use. The bullets are usually around 30 grains 1.9-2.2 grams in weight. However there is a round that is classified as “hypervelocity” that utilizes a 40 grain (2.6g) projectile. This cartridge, called the Velocitor is manufactured by CCI, owned by Alliant Corporation, it has a muzzle velocity of 1,435 ft/s (450 m/s). This cartridge utlizes a conventional case size, as opposed to the longer case used by a stinger. The Velocitor uses a proprietary Gold Dot hollow Point to augment 10/22 stock and trauma when hunting, this special hollow point is used to keep the bullet’s full 40 grains. Whereas in many other hunting cartridges weight is reduced to make a hollowed out point, or a hollow point. Special shot cartridges, usually loaded with #12 shot (see shotgun shell) in a .22 LR caliber have also been made and these are ideal for pest control at very short ranges. Such rounds will either have a longer brass case that is crimped closed, or a translucent plastic “bullet” that contains the shot and shatters upon firing. In specially-made .22 bore shotguns, the shotshells can be used for short range skeet shooting and trap shooting at special, scaled-down, clay targets.

SPOTLIGHT

A common misconception about LED-based flashlights is that they generate no heat. While lower-power LED flashlights generate little heat, more powerful LED lights do generate significant amounts of heat � although not as radiant energy � as the semiconductor junction inherently dissipates heat. For this reason higher-powered LED SPOTLIGHT usually have aluminum bodies and can become quite warm during use. The use of aluminum is largely due to its thermal properties, acting as a heatsink for the high-power LED. Very few high-output LED flashlights use a plastic body due to plastic being a thermal insulator rather than a conductor.

AR-15 sights

The ideal barrel length is 16″. This length is long enough to extract the necessary performance from the AR-15 sight and to provide the accuracy desired, while AR15 magzines short enough to be easily maneuvered in close quarters. The 14.5″ M4-style barrels are very popular, but the legal limitations and higher costs do not justify their selection over a standard 16″. These barrels need to have their flash suppressors permanently attached to bring the overal length to 16″; the standard A2 AR-15 flashider is not long enough.

I want to make something happen. I always try to be fair in my dealing. I understand FN is no longer going to import the Hi Power; take that for what it’s worth in the effect on values.

Well I think I lost it. I offered to buy a 1911 colt 45 automatic pistol sight unseen the other day. The price seemed right so what the hell. Well the gentleman showed up with it and I bought it. I have to say I’m not a fan of nickle plating but it’s growing on me.
I can’t figure out the barrel set up. The barrel sticks out the front a half inch? It looks like a bull barrel with no bushing. The guide rod is a full length one in blued.
