if i had a rem 700 i could sell and roll the money into a match barrel and trigger group for my M1A Accessories i sure as hell would do that. the best part is the M1A Accessories will shoot accurately for 20 rounds vs just 3-4. The M1A Accessories is difficult and expensive to maintain as a super-accurate rifle. At 800 yards, the skill of the shooter to dope the wind far outweighs the inherent accuracy of the rifle. A new barrel will not significantly affect any of the above, except that it will raise the cost. Does either rifle deliever an honest sub-2.25 MOA at 100 yards including the shooter’s skill?
